It is not unusual for me to work on carpentry projects, where I just do the woodwork, and the painting, or other final finishing is left for someone else to do. Sometimes this is because decorators are going to finish the whole room, or maybe because my customers want to paint what I have built themselves.
For what ever reason that you may go for an unpainted option, it certainly considerably reduces the price that I need to charge, and so could be a cost effective solution.
